All living creatures have a physical body and a subtle energy body . The subtle energy body has been historically divided into various strata, layers or densities which have a variety of names and functional descriptions depending on the cultural and linguistic perspective used to describe them. Well recognized terms in English include Chakra , Etheric and Astral Body.

In recent years the terms Acupuncture Meridian and Chi have been popularized by the spread of Traditional Chinese Medicine and martial arts like Tai Chi.

The existence of these subtle energies has been accepted by many traditional societies as part of their spiritual, religious and healing practices. A good example of this can be seen in the ancient healing method of the "laying on of hands" with it’s modern counterparts of Therapeutic Touch and Polarity Therapy.

Some aspects of Subtle Energy Fields can be measured indirectly with modern electronic devices as in the example of Kirlian Photography which is capable of visualizing a dynamic pattern of colored discharges emanating from the body-particularly the hands. Current research in this field has enabled investigators to connect various discharge formations with specific disorders in the physical body.

Early in the 20^th century Kilner Glasses were devised to help people see the multicolored human aura and modern computer enhanced systems produce complex pictorial representations of the energy fields surrounding and interpenetrating body.

The subtle energy fields are intimately linked to consciousness in the broadest meaning of the term. Modern medical sciences generally assume that all consciousness has a purely biological basis and that the brain is the source of all awareness. Subtle energy sciences by contrast assume that the bio-fields are co-existent with the physical body and most metaphysical philosophical systems accept that the subtle fields are the necessary precursors of all biological beings. All the sciences accept that there is a continuum between mind, matter and consciousness which is non-divisible during the life of any person.

Bio-Energy analysis is based on the theory that biological systems emit subtle energy signatures that identify the nature and structure of the organism under scrutiny. These energy "signatures" can be measured by the human mind using specific instruments. Where disorder exists bio-energy analysis can identify very specific deviations from the normal "signature patterns". These disordered patterns are in part produced by the diseased biological system and the negative "information patterns " are projected into the "total subtle information field" of an individual. The Bio-Energy analyst is able to discern the "corrupted subtle information data" and subsequently correct the distorted information by the use of various psychotronic devices.

These devices are designed to transfer corrective information to the subtle energy field of the individual under analysis. This transfer process is achieved according to a specific application of the theory of resonance.

The presence of "distorted subtle energy patterns" in the consciousness and total information field of a human being appears to produce a significant stress load in addition to the more medically observable pathology whether physical or psychological or both. By eliminating these negative patterns subtle stress loads are reduced and the treatment of a wide variety of human illnesses can usually be facilitated more efficiently and successfully.

This system of thought accepts that a healthy individual maintains a healthy subtle energy matrix which acts as a type of template underlying the psychophysical organism.
